A bit of a background on who I am. I have been actively online full time for the past 3 years. Before that I was part time for 3 years. I have always had an entrepreneurial heart ever since I was a teenager. I knew early on that I was different in how I thought about my working life. Thus, when the internet and computer age came to be, I immediately was attracted to the concept of working online.

My big break so to speak was when I ran into Jack Humphrey and a book he wrote called Powerlinking. Jack is a well known marketer online and has run several successful businesses. The book Powerlinking opened my eyes as to how the internet really works and how one can build a successful online business.

One of the cool things this book did for me was to help me visually interpret the internet in comparison to a spider’s web. If you think about a spider’s web and how a spider weaves its web to withstand strong winds, then you will understand that the connecting links of a spider’s web is much like your website online. Think of your website as the middle place of a spider’s web where the spider wraps up its prey and puts it in the middle of the web for later enjoyment. The Prey and location of the prey is YOUR website. When the wind blows upon the spiders web it does not break or blow away!

Why? It is amazingly linked and webbed together to withstand the attacks of the wind. Jack taught me that the key to online success is how well your web of links is woven. The more links pointing back to your site the better it will perform. This is the simplicity of the web and how your sites will survive the changing winds of the web. Yes, things change pretty quickly in this technological world we are seeing, but some things remain constant. And that constant is LINKS.

After reading this book, I immediately knew I wanted to follow what Jack was doing. I joined his program, Authority Site Center and began my journey to online success. I was introduced to Wordpress and the power of this blogging platform and I was quick to immerse myself in learning how to build a professional Wordpress blog.

After about a 1 1/2 years of working with Jack, I attended the Authority Site Summit in Las Vegas in October of 2007. At the summit I was invited by the partners of Authority Site Center to become the daily manager of the Authority Site Center. I accepted and began working for them immediately. I worked at the Authority Site Center for about 1 year and helped grow the business there sustainably. I am and will always be grateful for the opportunity that Jack gave me.

Through my time at the Authority Site Center, I also became heavily involved with ThemeZoom. I developed a real love for market research and digested everything and every tool I could find around market research.

Additionally, After 2 months with Authority Site Center, I came up with the idea for the 16 Steps to Success. Extensive, detailed surveys of the members themselves resulted in a major revelation of how people want and need information delivered to them. They need a step-by-step format to ensure success. This resulted in a detailed plan that we as a team at Authority Site Center developed. In January of 08 the 16 Steps to Success launched in-house at the Authority Site Center. What we did was break down the huge manual for building an authority site and divided the information into small bite size step by step chunks.

The 16 Steps to Success was a step by step live webinar teaching system that became wildly successful inside the membership.  I made a suggestion to Jack that we offer this 16 step program to the public completely FREE! We did just that and in March of 08 we launched a public version of the 16 steps and sold out in 7 hours. 500 people signed up in 7 hours. This training was developed and taught by me.  I took the material from the Authority Site Manual and put it together in a completely new and awesome live webinar format.

For 16 weeks I taught hundreds of people how to build a successful online business with the 4 pillars of online marketing:  Research, Publishing, Marketing and Monetization. The 16 steps was a huge turning point for my online business as I was able to connect with hundreds of people. The relationships developed through the 16 steps were incredible and being able to help so many people was the most gratifying experience I had ever had online.

After receiving this valuable free training, many people naturally signed up for the Authority Site Center and the success of the program was beyond what any of us on the management team thought it would be.

We ran a second public version of the 16 Steps to Success and sold out 1000 spots almost as fast as the first time.

I discovered through this experience that I love to teach. This was confirmed by thousands of emails I received. People were appreciative and encouraged by the sincerity and style of teaching that I delivered.

I left the Authority Site Center as the acting manager in October of 08. This was a joint departure that came at a good time. As I have stated above, I am  forever grateful for the opportunity to run the Authority Site Center. The most valuable thing I gained was the introduction to live webinar teaching. Teaching others and presenting live webinars is by far the most enjoyable thing I have ever done with my online business....so...that leads up to...

The Internet Business Training Program.

One of the issues I found through surveys and my time managing the Authority Site Center is that building an Authority site or a Trusted site is a critical component to long term viability online. I believe everyone should be working on ONE site that is built around their expertise and or passion.

But an Authority or Trusted sitel is a unique business model. It is a long term solution and does not perform well as a short term solution to making money online. Many people came and went very quickly at the Authority Site Center because they did not understand the model. They were looking for fast money and I am sorry to say that fast money is not what building an Authority site is.

Thus, I proceeded to put together a plan to teach people how to make money online. The result is the Internet Business Training Program.Your online business is dependent upon going through 3 major stages of development. I know this to be true. So as of today, I have created the Internet Business Training Program as a 3 step process starting from the beginner member who knows nothing about building an online business right through to the Elite member, who is moving on to outsourcing and expanding his or her business.

My goal in launching the Internet Business Training Program is to help as many people as I can to earn a fantastic income solely from using the internet. This will be achieved by helping people get through the three levels of the program.

Running the Internet Business Training Program is a dream come true for me and allows me to do what I love to do best:  Teach people in a live webinar  format and help them develop a sound business plan to build a future for themselves using the internet.

There is nothing greater than helping other people.  As Zig Ziglar has said, "Help enough other people get what they want and you will get what you want." This is the founding principle of the Internet Business Training Program,  and I am looking forward to all the amazing success stories that will be created here.
